The introduction of the story has been rewritten to be more concise and overall better paced to match how the writing is in recent builds.

The cab ride to the end of the presentation/keynote has been rewritten/reorganized.

Maybe this isn't you, in which case feel free to skip this section, but if you liked or didn't mind the intro, this part is for you. 

Ultimately the intro was "passable" but it wasn't really good, and most of the complaints were that the main character felt like he was 'overdescribing'. What it boiled down to was compacting, pruning, and ultimately rewriting the introduction so it doesn't feel as boring to read, while improving Theodore's character. If you liked the old introduction, you'll (probably) like the rewrite even more.

"Should I support the Patreon just to read the introduction rewrite?"

If you've already read Rain Check and recall the general storyline of the introduction,  then no, I would recommend waiting for the next public release to explore the changes, money is tight in this economy and I wouldn't pledge just to read something I already know.

Creating Rain Check has always been a passion project for me, and because of that, I've taken a lot of the feedback to heart and worked diligently to address it.  We haven't removed any major plot points; if anything, we've shuffled them to later in the story.

I'll admit, I had no prior serious writing experience before embarking on this journey with Rain Check. However, after crafting several builds, I believe my writing has evolved to the point where the old introduction no longer aligns with the style of recent builds.
